Pokemon Training? More like Pokemon SLAUGHTERING.

Mar 18, 2011 21:10

[As spring is swiftly arriving to Awesome Island, Paul is finally letting his month-old Mienfoo go out and seek out some wild Pokemon to battle in order to raise her level and experience... and because Mienfoo has reeeeeally wanted to fight stuff since the moment she hatched from the egg. Somewhere down the line, it appears Mienfoo has learned a ( Read more... )

[...That's one way to train indeed. Jackie's just looking to the slaughterfest of fainted Pokemon around her while Leviathan gets to work on reviving some of them. A mother's work is never done...

Jackie manages to find Paul looking over his Pokedex, faintly hearing the word 'Acrobatics'. Wellll, that explains that...] You must have never been to Unova. Mienfoo are known for some hella high attacking abilities...no surprise this one managed to take out as many as it did!

[Oh? A new face. It's been a while since Paul's seen someone unfamiliar on the island and wasn't a double of someone he knew beforehand. Still, she does assume correctly.]

... Evidently... and no, I've never been to Unova.

We don't get outsiders that often, if you wanna know the honest truth. Still, it's a good place to train in. [Well, what with the Pokemon PETA out of business now, but we digress.]

What level is the little one? Looks a little young, but if he's already kicking this many Pokemon down to the dirt... [She's definitely got the potential to be a real ass kicker. Damn, little one.]

Last I checked, she was level five, but...

[Obviously higher now if she was able to take out half the population of the island's rodents.]

[Well, they say when one Rattata is spotted, forty more are in the area. ...Just don't tell Mienfoo that.]

At the rate she's going, I wouldn't be surprised if she's in the late teens...

It took two months to hatch. I wonder if that means it'll take a long time to evolve as well...

I've never raised a Mienfoo, but I have seen their evolution. They tended to be pretty decently leveled, and looked like they just evolved. I can probably say that she'll take a while. [Another amused look at the little one.]

At the rate she's going though, it probably won't be that long.

Mienshao, right? Those... purple things?

Yeah. ...At least she's a girl though? [Well...at least they'll match? Won't look too weird considering the sort of eyeshadow it's evolution gets...]

[The fact that they'll match is exactly what bothers Paul so much. He'll just... try to contain that grumbling of his.]

I... guess so.

Don't be too glum over it. The little one's still got untapped potential in her, so don't let a simple color similarity make you uncomfortable.

[Paul will just take out a Pokeball and silently send out his shiny Nidoqueen... only instead of green, it looks like this.]

[...There is an ironic echo here, I know it--]

...You seem to attract a lot of purple Pokemon, don't you?

People keep giving them to me as some part of twisted joke, it seems.

You should dye your hair a different color for them to get the hint. [Said in jest, at the least.]

Hah.

[His sense of humor is rather... not there.]
