I've had problems for a while with sound quality. My exported mp3 files (from Audacity) have sounded tinny and a bit distorted despite the original wav files being of good quality. I've been meaning to let everyone know about a little gizmo that has helped me to increase the volume and sound quality of my podfics.  It's called a Griffin iMic ($34.99 through Amazon).  It's basically a cord that functions as an external sound card.  You plug your microphone into it and record away.  Here's an example of an intro recorded ( Read more... )

I just heard from general_jinjur, who runs the awesome Audific Archive for fandom. She, anatsuno, and raz0rgirl are working on a challenge, to become a yearly event, to increase the fannish diversity of podfic.
