When podficcers first start recording, we all tend to face the same question: "Should I cut out my breathing?" With so many new podficcers joining us (welcome to the party, guys!), it seems like a good time to revisit this question. The basic answer: don't cut out all of your breathes; keep clear pauses in your narrative and dialog.

As argentumlupine pointed out earlier this month, the google link to the flash player many of us were using to stream our podfics has started going wonky and doesn't work most of the time.

I know some of us have been providing streams of our podfics through services like box.net but I haven't seen many people embedding streams in their podfic posts. I started doing so some time during this year's amplificathon (especially for my shorter podfic). I (and my co-mod podklb) later incorporated it into the posting format for pod_together and I'm happy to see others have ( Read more... )

This may also pertain to Audacity users, but then again, maybe not.

In GarageBand, when you are ready to export your podfic and you click on Share >> Send Song to iTunes, if you don't edit the tags for Album Artist and Composer to display as you want them (or later check and change these and possibly other tags as well in iTunes before uploading ( Read more... )
