Chapter and Verse Question/Problem

I'm close to finishing a medium sized project that consists of several fics, varying from 25-65 minutes, all belonging to a series. I'd really like to create my own podbooks and I've read up on the tutorials posted in this community, and the consensus seems to be that Chapter and Verse is an excellent application for that kind of thing, even with ( Read more... )

Are you getting any sort of error messages? What's happening to show that's it not working?

Also, you only need iTunes to use C&V if you're importing mp3s. Generally when I use it, I save my files as .m4a which C&V will accept and convert to .m4b (there's a plug in you can install so Audacity will export as .m4a)

The only error message I get is that c&v has stopped working.

I got QT too because I think I read somewhere that it was needed. Either that person misspoke or I hallucinated. Either way, having it shouldn't get in the way, right?

I too had Chapter&Verse crashing and I had WMP, iTunes and QuickTime installed. I discovered you cannot use the QuickTime default installation. You have to click each red "x" then select "will be installed" for each item to install all components of QuickTime. After I did this Chapter&Verse once again opened up without crashing.
Now the only problem is Chapter&Verse does not offer to convert when ".mp3" files are imported and instead says it cannot use the files. It's like it doesn't know that iTunes is installed. I use "fre:ac" to convert them to ".m4a" before hand.
This is in Windows 10 64bit with iTunes 12.6 and QuickTime 7.7.9.
