What the... there are ACTUAL PEOPLE on Team Gale? Why? Gale is not a character, he's a plot device. I mean, I guess he got kind of character-y in Catching Fire (and his personality was I'm-Mister-Stoic-No-Personality-Guy, yeah, fascinating) but he was in, like, four pages of Hunger Games. And I seem to recall most of those four pages being about how much Katniss DIDN'T love him until at the very end of the book when she was all OMG I LOVE GALE SUDDENLY, HOW CONVENIENT FOR THIS PLOT. So, yeah. Teem Peeta all the way.
Also, I just woke up from a nap and I concur with your findings that sleep is good.
Someone I work with is on Team Gale! It's crazy! I mean, I finished the book and was basically like, "Well, I guess she had to find SOME way to pull the Peeta-Katniss indecision/romance out to three books..." (a plot tactic that I disagree with, but one that I recognize is incredibly predominant in ALL forms of fiction) and then forgot about it until the book actually came out and people were like, "OH MAN I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL GALE AND KATNISS GET MARRIED."
It boggles my mind. It truly does.
Because... PEETA! I have an unholy (and unhealthy, given that he's a fictional teenager) adoration for Peeta. He's a BAKER. And the BABY COMMENT.
