So, someone linked me over to fandomsecrets because there was a secret about Psych that referenced something we had discussed many, many times and... well, okay. Sometimes I go over there to laugh at stuff, and the other day there was a Newsies one that was about shipping David and Denton since '92. THAT WAS AWESOME.

Mostly it is pretty fail, though.

Anyway, I just made friends with someone partially because they write Shawn/Gus! FOR SERIOUS. A mutual friend didn't realize we had a million fandoms in common but thought we should be friends, and I was all "WAIT I HAVE READ HER SHAWN/GUS IT IS AMAZING" so. I did get the fuck off the slash comm, though. It depressed me.

There's just so much vitriol. And I understand wanting to get things off your chest, but Jesus. It's like feeding time at the zoo over there! I know it's anonymous, but I'd be totally scared to post something there because it seems whatever side of an issue you're on, everyone thinks your an entitled whore who is also dumb.

Anyway. SHAWN/GUS. I LOVE THEM. I wish everyone else did :( I got off the comm too, though, not long after I got on it in the first place. I went through and read the like, five Shawn/Gus and then left. BUT REC ME HER SHAWN/GUS! Although, I may have already read it. Once I figured out how to troll del.icio.us for fic, I looked for most of my rarepairs and got most of everything I think.

the thing in Robin Hood was when they killed off Marian. Apparently it was the beginning of the end of the show. I haven't even finished that season but fandomsecrets spoiled me.

I haven't seen any of Psych, but I have thought about it.

Oh, Psych is the best! I adore it. It's funny and smart and silly and there are crimes and the two main characters are basically married and one of them is Dulé Hill, for added adorableness XD

I've heard loads about it but I can't find time to finish shows I have been watching for years much less start a new obsession.

and I'm totes with you on shawn/gus. plus? gus is just the most awesome character, so foregone conclusion.

I'd be a happy camper if there were a ton of shawn/gus floating around.

Hahaha, it's okay! Most of the people I know read it, actually :)

But gosh, Shawn/Gus. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH! I honest to god teared up a little in the high school reunion episode when Shawn does that little tribute to Gus. ♥

FS is totally like crack. I watch no anime, am not even a little bit involved in twilight, so at least I get to skim a lot.

The political stuff really annoys me too. And I'm actually kinda-sorta in the fandom! I read the fic and squee posts over at rahmbamarama but this attitude by most people drives me crazy. Most posts are about how fucking hot Rahm Emanuel is, not about the issues. SO WHAT. Ugh.

As for the Psych thing...I always wondered about that. I've never really seen the show, only about 15 minutes here and there. But I thought it was pretty obvious that Gus and Shawn are BFF and totally love each other. Yet, I distinctly remember reading the sign up post for the last small fandom big bang and the only slash option for Psych was Shawn/Lassiter. I very much WTFed. But thanks for not beating around the bush and calling it what it is--racist. I don't care what anyone says. Completely ignoring the most obvious slash pairing because it's half black, even if you're doing it "subconsciously"? Racist.

And I don't give a shit. There are a lot... well, there's one person that I know of on my flist who is on that comm, but I honestly could care less. It squicks me to hell and back, sure, but so does incest and a ton of other things that people I know in fandom do, you know?
