I made this last year, and only now did it occur to me to post it here.

This is...almost a pocket shrine, I think, in that it's a very small (the glass is 4" square) shadow box, filled with dozens of pictures I gathered relating to Newsies and turn-of-the-century New York.

I also wanted to make it playable.

I'm planning my first pocket shrines (thanks to the wonderful info in this community) and I have a question. I would like to use mint tins as they are just a great size and it will put my empties to good use, but I would like to find a way to take the slightly raised parts of the tin tops (like where it says Altoids in raised letters) and make the ( Read more... )

So, yesterday I posted at another community about having limited space for an altar in my college bedroom. I got many great suggestions from everyone and I decided to try my hand at a pocket shrine. Since the rosary and Our Lady are very important to me, I made that my theme.
