Rape Victims as Unwilling Sperm Recipients: A New Bill
I understand that the majority of republicans and religious zealots are against abortion. At least I can understand their arguments generally: appreciating the sanctity of life, it's against God's will (despite my agnosticism), abortions are not a form of birth control, and the like. The new bill their trying to pass is absurd. A new bill, called the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion bill, states that in order to receive an abortion (paid for by their insurance) a rape victim must prove to their insurance company that their rape was "forced".

Presumably that means (as was pointed about by Roxy) that one would need visible proof of forced rape i.e. bruises and injuries. What then of the women who weren't injured, but were threaten with a weapon? Women who were drugged?
I find this to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. I signed the petition against it, I ask my readers (however few of you) to sign it as well.
