Reiri could smell her in the air. More precisely, the vampire could smell the blood. This was a tricky situation for her. Her natural vampire instincts tell her to hunt down the source and feed while her medic side told her that she needed to help the person. Since Reiri didn't know if this bleeding person could be useful or not, she ventured on the safe side and decided to help. This person could be a valuable ally in the future after all ( ... )

[[OOC: In the infirmary's fine with me.]]

Chandra awoke to find herself very much not dead- this is good, she thought- and resting comfortably in a bed somewhere. Her head still throbbed where she'd hit it, but the wound was now covered with a bandage. She was still tired, the 'walk having sapped her of most of her strength- but her first instinct was to think she was safe for the time being. Although she didn't recognize any of the instruments and was slightly put off by the appearance of the room, there wasn't anything she decided was an immediate threat.

Better than where I've ended up before when showing up on a random plane, she thought.

"W-what is this place?" Chandra asked, sounding obviously parched. "Can I get some water?"

Reiri was looking around at the infirmary. It was sterile white everywhere like many other hospitals she has been in. That sterility made her feel out of place. The vampire was a creature of the night and the night was anything but sterile. The night was full of unseen life.

Upon hearing the weak words, Reiri walked towards the curtained off room. Along the way, the medic picked up a pitcher of water and a cup. Taking a peek through the curtains to see if Chandra was wake or just talking in her sleep, Reiri parted the curtains and smiled at the other woman.

"Welcome. You're on a space colony called Pluto IX. I found you unconscious in a hallway and brought you here to the infirmary. My name is Reiri Kamura and I am a medic of this ship." Reiri technically is the head medic but that title loses meaning when she is the only medic.

Pouring a cup of water, the medic offered it to Chandra. "You sound parched. Here is some water. Drink it slowly."

Chandra nodded, and took the water from Reiri. A quick glance and sniff at the cup revealed nothing, and she drank. It was clean, and cold- probably the best thing she'd had in days. The pyromancer finished the first glass, then poured herself another.

"Thank you, Reiri- but...what's a space colony?"

She'd never seen anything like this place in her life- it was totally different from the monastery and any of the planes she'd visited. Almost unnatural, she thought, but if they could offer her clean water and medical care instead of what usually happened when she arrived on a new plane she'd take it for now. Chandra had never seen technology like this short of the Izzet creations on Ravnica, and it was obvious that the people here had mastered something. Maybe fire magic would be on the list too...Usually, Chandra would be at her usual- demanding answers and making threats- but she wasn't about to ruin what seemed like a perfectly good opportunity to get a comfortable bed and some food by lighting the place on fire in an attempt ( ... )
