Who: Gul Dukat, Eric Northman (open) What: Eric accepts Dukat's invitation to see if exercise suits his new condition. Where: Outside, hotel grounds When: Backdated to just after the network posting here.
Eric had heeded the words that he'd been given on the network the day before. The hotel had provided him with a full wardrobe, and he'd selected some light and slightly loose shorts with a black tank. It was warm and dry out, as was usual for a desert environment. He'd made sure to drink plenty of water that morning, and had also managed to procure a bottle for during the run. He'd seen the amount of fluid living creatures could lose during strenuous activity, and while he wasn't looking forward to the idea of sweating, he had taken the necessary precautions

Movement at the hotel entrance caught his attention. He watched the approach of the man, finding him taller than he had expected. "Good morning," he replied, equally pleasant. "Likewise, Mister Northman. I'm glad you decided to join me. There are sometimes others. I always arrive a bit early and wait until the appointed time in case we get a new face in the group." He saw that the man had water, which was good. He hadn't yet had to haul any heat stroke victims inside and wouldn't like to start that trend with someone so large.
Ardeth stepped outside the hotel to, once again, find himself the third person to arrive for the desert run. He harboured a little hope that Rose might join them again, as she made a pleasant contrast to Dukat, though Ardeth didn't particularly find the man objectionable.
There was someone he didn't know waiting to start the run, as well.
"Good morning," he addressed them both, inclining his head slightly.
It was a really bad idea...but he had to do something to stay in shape. If it meant sucking it up and making nice with the guy who, unintentionally yes, beat him to hell...Dean was gonna do it

Dean noted the pace and tried not to shoot the Cardassian an incredulous look as they started across the desert, feet trying to find purchase in the shifting sands as they moved.
Eric keeps up with the Cardassian's pace, paying extra close attention to his body. The sensation was odd, yet to feel every pulse of his heart as it sped up, and to sense each push and pull of his muscles, was strangely invigorating. The sand beneath his feet made it even more difficult, as balance was something he had to put effort into instead of it being entirely natural.
The pace wasn't too much of a challenge for one accustomed to greater heat and who had been doing this or something like it every day of his life for as long as he had been in Central Command. However, he kept the even pace and his gaze to the horizon. He knew it wouldn't be long before the effect occurred, and sure enough, it didn't disappoint. The hotel, which had been behind them, suddenly appeared in the distance before them, wavy from the heat rising off the sand.
