Haven't posted in a while, here's a summary of life right now:

-in-laws decided to stop helping us with rent just before I'm due to have this baby, after guilt tripping us about considering adoption. "it would be like a death in the family, won't you consider anyone besides yourselves?" We were considering it because we were worried about not ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you're going through such BS right now. If you are seriously considering adoption (which I hope you're not because you make the cutest kids), you & Adam probably shouldn't see the baby after you give birth. That was my mistake best choice I ever made. I was hell bent on giving Emma up & my mind changed as soon as I saw her. I cried like hell for the first 3 weeks of her life until I got her back in my custody.

I should shut up about that.

I know your financial situation isn't the most ideal right now but you'll make it work. You're a smart lady. Have you applied for food stamps and/or WIC? Both can help you out tremendously. Coupons are a major help too! I try to cut corners every which way I can.

Perhaps you can make a little side monies by crocheting up those awesome things you make? I know you're very crafty that way.

I need to hop on gchat badly. I feel like its been forever since we last chatted.

We've decided against it for sure, we changed our minds about it just after Christmas after having a long talk with my mum. I felt a lot less hopeless and upset about it, but now I can't help but second guess our decision. We've actually got friends that are a really nice married couple with a daughter who can't physically (without significant fatal risks to mum and baby) have another. It was really hard changing our minds and telling them, but they took it really well ( ... )

It pleases me dearly to hear that you changed your minds. It is the hardest decision in the world to make. I don't know why I ever considered it. It took a lot of strength that I didn't know I had to let some strange bitch take Emma away from me. But I got her back & there ain't shit she can do about it now!

Good! WIC has helped me tremendously! I can't believe your BC got lost in the mail! It was USPS, wasn't it?

Could you possibly make a sock monkey for Emma? I'd pay you, of course. A hand made item holds so much more sentimental value than a store bought item. I really liked what I've seen of your work.

Of course it was sent through the usps, they're useless a lot of the time. Another reason I get DC on anything humanly possible! I actually have a package coming from the UK that's been in transit for a month as of tomorrow. The package I sent to the same address got there in just under a week :/

I have never actually made anything like that with knitting, actually. So far I can make rectangles and similar shapes. I could crochet her a little creature though! I've made tons of those, and they're quite cute. A friend got a unicorn creature for her birthday and I've got a rock monster I'm almost done with for someone else, but no time constraints on finishing.

Adam told me that he knew I was the one the day I gave him a red lobster creature with fur and claws and scary black eyes, hahaha.

Thanks! I hope so too, otherwise I'll just have to eat everyone's heads and call it a day. And well, they're all so cute...

Your tots are so adorable, jeeeez louise! I also cannot believe you're already 9 months!

Such a shitty situation WRT your in-laws/money in general. My fingers are crossed for Adam finding work and for mucho awesomeness to befall you!

Aww, thanks hun! I think they're ridiculously cute, but I am completely biased. I don't know what to do about my inlaws, but hopefully things will turn out ok. I'm hoping my mum could let me borrow money for a weekish to tide us over? She's a sweetheart, and that would go a long way. I just hate feeling this stressed. I am not a stressful person. Just makes it even harder to sleep..
