Haven't posted in a while, here's a summary of life right now:

-in-laws decided to stop helping us with rent just before I'm due to have this baby, after guilt tripping us about considering adoption. "it would be like a death in the family, won't you consider anyone besides yourselves?" We were considering it because we were worried about not ( Read more... )

We've decided against it for sure, we changed our minds about it just after Christmas after having a long talk with my mum. I felt a lot less hopeless and upset about it, but now I can't help but second guess our decision. We've actually got friends that are a really nice married couple with a daughter who can't physically (without significant fatal risks to mum and baby) have another. It was really hard changing our minds and telling them, but they took it really well.

I can't even imagine what those three weeks were like for you, how awful. I'm sorry you went through tha but so glad you changed your mind. Emma is such a sweetie!

I've got WIC and that's how we get most of Deli's formula and jarred food. I need to get a new copy of my birth certificate before I can apply for foodstamps and it's a pain in the butt since I was born in South Carolina. I sent in an application for one already but it got lost in the mail, so I need to buy another (at $17 a pop to get that sucker expedited!).

My friend asked about my making her a bag like my flower so I just got a hold of her and she's still totally game. I've got a package to send out today so while I'm out I'm going to get the yarn for it and start that up. Wish I had more stuff complete so I could throw it on etsy..

It pleases me dearly to hear that you changed your minds. It is the hardest decision in the world to make. I don't know why I ever considered it. It took a lot of strength that I didn't know I had to let some strange bitch take Emma away from me. But I got her back & there ain't shit she can do about it now!

Good! WIC has helped me tremendously! I can't believe your BC got lost in the mail! It was USPS, wasn't it?

Could you possibly make a sock monkey for Emma? I'd pay you, of course. A hand made item holds so much more sentimental value than a store bought item. I really liked what I've seen of your work.

Of course it was sent through the usps, they're useless a lot of the time. Another reason I get DC on anything humanly possible! I actually have a package coming from the UK that's been in transit for a month as of tomorrow. The package I sent to the same address got there in just under a week :/

I have never actually made anything like that with knitting, actually. So far I can make rectangles and similar shapes. I could crochet her a little creature though! I've made tons of those, and they're quite cute. A friend got a unicorn creature for her birthday and I've got a rock monster I'm almost done with for someone else, but no time constraints on finishing.

Adam told me that he knew I was the one the day I gave him a red lobster creature with fur and claws and scary black eyes, hahaha.

Figures. That's USPS for ya. All providers like that are idiots.

Pictures of the unicorn or it didn't happen!

I guess Adam is definitely a man who knows what he likes!

I'm trying to think of where there were pictures of it, I don't think they're on facebook..? Maybe my myspace? I haven't been on there in such a long, long time. It was cute- bubblegum pink body that looked sorta like a deer with a white horn on it's forehead.
