when i was watering the vegetable garden yesterday, i found a dead mole hiding in the dense leaves of the courgette(zucchini) plant, its tiny duck-like feet jutting into the air as if it died begging for its life. there was something so strangely human about its death pose, and i felt cold standing in the violent sun. i had been spraying the garden

oh, that's lovely. scent is so powerful like that, isn't it? i can specifically smell your coat, but even if i don't and i'm just lying in bed, there is a lingering smell. and that ache, you know.

i'm glad. sometimes i feel i give off an aura of such sadness, and even when i'm cheerful, i'm not properly happy. but in these rare moments, i really am, and it's wonderful. i always like what i get from your posts as well.

when we lived on our farm in england, there used to be hundreds of moles living in our front field. if you weren't careful, you could fall down into a mole hole. i never saw an actual mole, though.
