This morning I woke early and went in the hall and the sun was coming in at just the right angle through the downstairs stained glass window.

I love that window. It's one of my favorite things about Jingwei's house. It's too bad it's tucked away under the stairs in the entryway, because the angle of the porch means it only gets light through it for a short time each day.

It really is. And it's 110 years old, or thereabouts. There's all sorts of stained glass in the Victorian houses in this neighborhood. (It's a historic preservation site.) I wish it were acceptable to walk up to people's houses and ask to come in & see them properly. :)

But this window is one of the prettiest I've seen. I love how rich the colors are.
