Hey, I'm just seeing this. It would be TOTALLY AWESOME if you wrote more Firefly fic.

(I am surprised to hear that people are squicked by Mal/River, but I suppose I can see the disgust, if I squint. Anyway. I don't especially ship them, but I'd definitely read them together, if that makes sense.)

And I have a theory about the squick. I think the squicked people are mostly the ones who started with the TV series, and the non-squicked people are the ones who started with the movie. Eh, maybe that's a crap theory. But yeah. The squicked/non-squicked have epic discussions about all possible readings of the subtext in "Safe." :D :D :D

I feel like this should be the point where I admit that one of my Firefly OTPs is Simon/River SO SQUICK REALLY DOESN'T ENTER INTO IT WHERE I AM CONCERNED AND I AM MORE LIKELY TO SCARE YOU AWAY THAN THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
