After a too-long hiatus, I feel it's about damn time I returned to the world of Firefly fanfiction, and verve-challenge seems like the perfect way to do it. Seven fics, coming up! (They will be Mal/River. If that squicks you, please either open yo ur mind or simply ignore.)

1. May the blessing of light be on you - light without and light within./ May the blessed sunlight shine on you and warm your heart till it glows like a great peat fire.
2. May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home.
3. May the Gods always stand between you and harm in all the empty places you must walk.
4. May your days be many and your troubles be few.
5. May you never forget what is worth remembering, nor eve remember what is best forgotten.
6. May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts. And if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.
7. May you live in interesting times.
