I managed to finish ‘Breaking Dawn’ today. It wasn’t without great effort, though. I will really have to make up for my lack of involvement in my kids lives since I began reading the series 2 weeks ago. I plan to give them both nothing, but my undivided attention from now on. I *definitely* hear that. I know SAHMs who are always making up new crafts and educational activities to do...who are so proud of their role and take it so seriously. Basically, I just do it because I feel too guilty about daycare. It's like I'm missing a gene, the one that creates enthusiasm about the job. I *adore* my kid, but...like you said, women who can do it for a long time with a ton of kids are seriously impressive.

Thanks for sharing. It's nice to know that there are some moms that feel the same as I do. I just can't be super mom and probably never will.

You know I felt like a bad mom as well during the reading of the series. But then I also remind myself in reality it wasn't that much time he lost with me and I also I realized I need to give myself a bit more of me time to do said things, and not try to cram everything in all at once.

I feel the same about the ending of a series being like saying goodbye to a dear friend. I still want more, as cheesy as it sounds. Just like I do with Harry Potter. I wanted to check out Meyer's other book "The Host" and see how I feel about that book.

Reading for me usually comes in spurts. I will pour over different books for months and then suddenly I stop for whatever reason. Months go by and then bam I start reading again. I want to check out 'The Host' as well, but I might, put this off for a bit. I need to regroup after all the reading I have done recently. Like I mentioned I just need to focus on being a mom for a bit.

I really wasn't expecting to become so involved in the series, but after picking up the first book I was just unable to let the story go.

Thanks ... I think so too! :)

I have too much time on my hands what with being a stay at home mom. Perhaps that's why I was able to finish the books in record time.
