Finally, a good review of this episode. (I read a gwack one. It was horrifying.)

And yeah, it was weird and mean that she turned to Ianto of all people to give her confession that she loves jack to.

Oh, great review!

I had my WTF face the 'Tell Jack I l.." scene (well, ok. I might had my WTF? face most of Gwen's scenes). I was "wait a minute. She's suppose to be the 'heart' of TW, but turn to the guy who loves Jack, used to sleep with him and will soon goes on date with him, that she loves Jack! What a cow"

And how nice of her not to leave any message for Rhys, the man who loves her and wants to marry her!

Exactly!

It's one of the episodes, and one of the scenes, that made me really dislike her. In series one, I mainly ignored her. She was like people I mostly stay clear of. I didn't hate her, but I didn't like her either. Then she retconned Rhys (which is, in my mind, one hell of a great boyfriend), and she did her things in the last episode, I disliked her even more, but it was the end, and I mainly forgot about her yet again (like she seems to forget Rhys).

Then Kiss Kiss Bang Bang happened, followed by the rest of series 2...you can guess how my feelings for her evolved, looking at the mini-rant I just did. (sorry about that!)

LOL
I love how Ianto kept countdown and urged her to off herself ASAP, and how Tosh didn't even bother to stop her. And then Gagwen had to "tell Jack, tell Jack". Did you see the WTF face Ianto made when she said that? And lovely Tosh got wide-eyed! Even Caption John glared back at her blankly.

BTW, as clever as Tosh and Ianto, they should have think of cutting the hand off Captain John and free her, yet no one mentioned it. :)

Your review is hilarious, I can't believe I didn't notice the Owen thing before.

This though: “As if I would,” Gwen says in disgust. Carys, Jack, Owen, and James from Border Princes beg to differ.

Amend this to;
Carys, Owen, James from Border Princes, Nostrovite!Jack, and Jack's three day old corpse. I can't remember anymore, but did Jack ever actually kiss Gwen?

She kissed him in the original "Day One" after he saved her and Carys.

She kissed him, he didn't kiss her. And thanks for recognizing that John Hart was actually Spike. Does RTD create any original characters?

Great review. You must have watched the same version of KKBB as I did - seems from some reviews that there must be another version out there that some people have seen, which bears little resemblance to what I saw (does that make sense?)
I agree with an earlier commenter that the team just let Gwen think she was in charge while Jack was away to keep her occupied. I imagine Owen gave orders while in the field, while Ianto dealt with all the paperwork that Jack would normally handle and dealt with UNIT, Downing Street etc. Gwen doesn't have the tact to deal with anything that requires diplomacy.
