Actually, your Toddoshopping is so much less disturbing than the crap patch-together job that was done on that "family portrait" that I think you get a pass this time.

Also, OH MAN. I have seen neither kidnappy episode nor this one and I CRAVE THEM.

Oh? And? This picture?Take a look at Goren's badge. THAT IS WHAT FOR REALZ NYC POLICE DETECTIVE BADGES LOOK LIKE. You will notice that it is the SAME design I used for Dollie!Eames' badge ( ... )

Oh, that portrait. If I was Brooke Shields, I would have vomited on it. Or at least asked if I could not be seen in a scene with it.

I WILL BURN THE EPS AND SEND THEM IN YOUR MASSIVE PARCEL THAT IS GETTING BIGGER AND BIGGER EVERYTIME WE GO SHOPPING.

Oh man, I love how like her Eames Doll is. Liz told me how you put her name on a piece of paper inside her - and I honestly think that's why she's so like Katie Erbe. Everyone's said so - I just get all weird and wibbly when I think of all the time you put into her. I JUST LOVE HER, BRANWYN.

The Man Pain is actually getting to me quite a bit, to be honest. I know I'm Pro-Eames, but it's insulting for the most part. But I think I shall have to write "what happened after EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Dick Wolf", because I'm sure they couldn't sit in the car for that long without someone talking about some sort of pain.

!!!!!! Packagey goodness, yay!

I can't tell you how glad I am you feel that way about EamesDoll, because I was really afraid she didn't evoke Eames at all---at least, not as clearly as Romana, because Romana has that very iconic outfit, whereas Eames dresses like a normal person. With a badge. I still wish I could have found her a gun, but apparently little kids don't play with wee policemen or cowboys anymore because no tiny guns could be found.

I put the dolls' names inside so they know who they are. :-D

Excessive attention to the mainpain is always insulting. But a "what happens next" fic would be BRILL.

But she does evoke Eames - the face, the hair, the clothes, EVERYTHING. And when Liz told me about the name-inside-them thing, I just knew it was because of that.

I'm not really an airy fairy person? But that rings SO TRUE TO ME. She is Eames. I want Katie Erbe to meet her!

"It's me! As a doll!"
"Yes! *kidnaps her*"

Now, admittedly I haven't rewatched this episode since it aired, but I kind of really walked away with a different impression than you did. (Maybe.)

I mean, yeah, we ended up with Goren's MAN PAIN, but at the same time, we actually got some Eames Pain. Moreover, we got followup on the previous G/E episode. Which to me, was a lot more important and satisfying than consistency with Eames' stress. (Which, as you pointed out, we got glimpses of.) I mean, s'truth that IN A PERFECT WORLD we would have gotten a lot more of Eames coping and Bobby being freaked out for her. But, dude. It's Law and Order. The fact that we got to see Eames coming out of the shrink's office is kind of a minor miracle in and of itself.

Also remember how we didn't get a single Eames is by herself scene in the previous 5 years? I honestly think the Producers did a vaguely okay (as opposed to depressingly terrible) job of Giving Katie Something To Do. I mean, it's nowhere near balanced but it's considerably better than the sidekick status she's been ( ... )

Now, lady, you have many fine points here. I guess I often get distracted by the fact they did, basically, ignore her for five seasons and now they're moving into "soap territory" (thanx, VDO), it all seems like too much too soon and makes my poor little noggin get confused and I forget that it is L&O after all and I'm bloody lucky to be getting any Eames Pain at all ( ... )

*nod* I was always made quite sad that they didn't give Eames more to do. I've wanted her to be as kick ass as she is FOREVER (and seekritly totally believed she was) so I'm kind of still basking in the overflow of awesome. I think I compared it to someone who's been on a severely restricted medical diet being walked into a Chinese buffet and told to go nuts ( ... )

I actually hadn't watched again since the first time, so capping this, I found myself with a furrowed brow for most of the time. I loved it, I just wanted more Eames Pain!

I'm just stepping away from the Photoshop now. MUST...MANIP...TODD...INTO...EVERYTHING... ;)
