Seems like I'm surrounded by pregnant people and fresh new babies. My co-worker's wife is two days past due, and there's a lot of Baby Rabies going around. So I think it's time for a poll. I was pregnant. Then started working back in TV production. Long hours and no sleep and running around like crazy probably assisted miscarriage.

We'd like to get pregnant Timing wise, it should be soon. My job doesn't help physically, although the paycheck is nice. I play with my friend's babies and I want to have them... although my gf from AZ just visited with her two little boys age 2 and 4, and I think I felt my ovaries shrivel up.

Just remember, they don't come out at 2 and 4, rather you have time to get used to that level of craziness.

They make them cute when they are young so you don't kill them when they are older.

Babies!!!

A couple weeks ago I got to hang out with a 5 month old baby that was super adorable! And I baby sit a 9 month old about once a month. Plus so many baby showers!

Saphire had to have a hysterectormy three years ago but I am more than willing to help raise and watch my friends kids. Before my sugery I take some medicine that causes severe birth defects.

I can see that. And I think I knew most of that. But still, if there was ever some sort of "accident", I think you'd be a great mom. :)

I figured you knew most of that, but the rest of the people who read your journal likely do not. And on the off chance that there are others out there who do not want children, I figured it would make them feel less alone. So much of society just automatically assumes that everyone wants to have kids, especially women, and it's most definitely not universally true.

(3) This next reason will likely offend a lot of people, but it's something I've considered, so I'll put it here. I'm absolutely terrified of having a mentally unhealthy child, be it some form of a developmental disability, autism, etc. I don't know that I'm a strong enough person to take care of a child like this, which is a HUGE red flag to me that perhaps I shouldn't become a mother.

eh. I would abort an otherwise wanted pregnancy if I discovered it had mental disabilities, and so do over 90% of women. We can't all be bad moms...
