My Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2e collection is . . .

Sep 11, 2010 09:05

Damn! I snagged the last book I was missing yesterday but when I went to add it to the collection I found that the Free RPG Day adventure is missing. Where in the hell are you, adventure? Did you run off and start a campaign by yourself?

Which one is that? If it's Deathwatch: Final Sanction I've got a spare copy that'll be quite happy to have a new home.

The one that went missing is an older adventure -- The Pig, the Witch, and Her Lover -- and it's kinda tough to find. I'll poke around the house because it has to be there somewhere.

I wanted to say first off , I REALLY ENJOYED reading your reviews of all the WWR toys you have received up to this point. They are clever , insightful and show some care as well as thought before speaking . Thanks for that ( ... )

Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the reviews. What sort of experience do you have with garage kits? I've got almost no knowledge of the market, but I'm interested in resin kits and am trying my hand at painting one.

Most bloggers who post sponsored entries are decent enough anonymous October 5 2010, 03:13:50 UTC
to let their minions know that they're shilling product. You sir are the first I've seen to unabashedly shill without fessing up. I have a hard time enjoying your battle grip blog when every post is a commercial. At least let the masses know you are being paid to endorse your sponsors. Shady and unethical are words I don't throw around much, better suited for the Autograph or memorabilia hobbies. But sticking to your current methods is creating an unsavory presence on my RSS feed. You kind sir are about have lost a reader permanently.

I wish you had posted this at the battlegrip.com site. I'm sorry you feel this way, but it is not entirely accurate. I mark affiliate posts, and whenever I'm given a toy I mention that in a review.

Most posts at the site -- especially the art, resin, designer, and Japanese vinyl toy posts -- are not affiliate or sponsored posts at all. And I do not post "paid" material at the site.

If you have any more questions or concerns please post at the site.

When you link to Inter-tainment Earth or another sponsor... anonymous October 6 2010, 04:26:38 UTC
adding a disclaimer as a footnote would be most helpful, such as the one I'm qouting from the kind sir at Infinite Hollywood, a toy blog who is upfront about their shillings ( ... )

I was using a standardized disclaimer in posts but it was really ugly. I now mark affiliate links -- * -- and have the default disclaimer in the site's master page design. So viewing the actual website shows the disclaimer, but an RSS feed will not. And anyone viewing the site through a newsfeed like at CollectionDX misses out on any embedded links and they cannot make the images larger.

I'm sorry you're unhappy with the approach I use, but it's cleaner and easier to work with.
