I found the missing adventure, so I now have a complete set. Awesome! Now to find time, interest, and people willing to actually play the game. Even setting aside a simple 4-hours each week is tough to do; being an adult isn't as easy as I thought it would be.

Damn! I snagged the last book I was missing yesterday but when I went to add it to the collection I found that the Free RPG Day adventure is missing. Where in the hell are you, adventure? Did you run off and start a campaign by yourself?

Here we see many, many copies of Lamentations of the Flame Princess ready to accept the guts of the game. After having put together a small number of vs. Monsters box sets several years ago I can appreciate the amount of work it takes to assemble a boxed RPG. And this game has a ton of stuff trapped within its cardboard coffin. Impressive.

Okay, I likely will not order this, but the Lamentations of the Flame Princess RPG box set looks damned impressive for an indie release. I'm starting to question the retro/clone movement, but old school-style RPGs that look like this could make me really reconsider my thoughts on the subject. I mentioned GM Oracle a few days ago, and already we're seeing new posts and some game statistics from readers. wombattery has been adding GURPS stats and mark-gedak has added Pathfinder stats for a creature. Not bad for a couple of days and especially considering there hasn't been any "official" announcement or push.

It's not yet ready, and won't be ready for a week or so, but the framework (and initial posts) for something along the lines of the old DM's Idea Pipeline is up over at GM Oracle, a new blog I'm building with Michael Hammes. That Rogue Trader Quick Start arrived in the mail yesterday and it looks very nice. I hope to get a chance to look it over closely later today, but the first flip through shows that (at least in production quality) this is a head above the older Dark Heresy quick start booklet.
