Gina bought me an
Accusplit Eagle pedometer for Christmas and each day I've been trying to hit 10,000 steps. Many weekdays I fall short, coming in at only 8,500 or 9,000 steps, while weekends I almost always hit 12,000+ steps.
Yesterday, my 13,733 steps were used to:
* Go to the farmers' market for cheese, milk, lettuce, and pickles.
* Hit the Super Target off of Slaughter for a variety of stuff (and I bought soup, which I almost never willingly eat).
* Wander down to an open house and to check the mail. It's fun to look at houses that are on the market and see how they compare to our house. I'm pretty confident that we got a great deal on our house a few years ago.
* Walk to
Bordeaux's for dinner. We meant to go a few weeks ago but I wasn't feeling great so we waited until yesterday to go. I had the Bourbon Street Pasta and Gina had the Sesame Ginger Ahi Tuna (Gina gave her own thoughts on the dinner over at
her LJ, if you're interested); we then took a slice of cheesecake to go and ate it last night after . . .
* A trip to another Target. This time we grabbed new throw blankets for the living room and Gina bought some of the brightest, ugliest purple shoes that I've ever seen.
And that, plus assorted walking around the house, came to (according to the pedometer) over four miles of walking.
We'll see how today goes.
