Wow.. I don't much time to watch many shows. Totally agree with you on the shows I do watch! :) ANTM, Supernatural, House, and Heroes. I've been watching each Heroes episode multiple times, once while not paying attention (feeding bottomless snack eater, knitting, etc) then again. Second time through, I have a better idea of the timing. Maybe the show keeps adding new people because a number of them will be dead by next season.
DVR has actually cut down the amount of time I watch TV in that I watch it in blocks, fast-forwarding through commercials. So two dramas take me 80 minutes, rather than 120 minutes. I am incapable of watching TV while not doing something else (lately, it's been knitting), so if the TV isn't more compelling than stockinette stitch, the mind wanders . . .
I heard there is going to be some major cast carnage on Heroes. I am looking forward to it.
I DVR, too. That's the only way I'm able to watch anything. :) I usually have something else going on while watching but some things are more distraction intensive than others. I watch some shows twice with the second showing for Paul and allowing for a great nap opportunity. I hope they keep some of the originals on Heroes. Really wish Peter and Hiro were back in our time/with everyone else. I'm also not to happy about Nikki and Mica being part, but whatever.
I liked Nikki and Micah together too. I went to high school with the girl who plays Nikki, so I am biased about her having a prominent role on the show.
i'm still pulling for heroes to get better. i suppose i'm biased having grown up there, but i'm not thrilled with the whole new orleans storyline. #1 - the accents are wrong. WRONG WRONG WRONG. #2 - the state of louisiana has PARRISHES people, not counties. please do your fucking research before you write a script. #3 - the whole "token katrina victim" angle just kind of leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
honestly, nichelle nichols is the only redeeming thing about the entire storyline.
yeah, the line was "half the people in this COUNTY still livin' in fema tray-luhs." i literally SCREAMED at the tv. as one of my friends from nola pointed out, her accent sounds way more mississippi than new orleans. and the white girl she works with? alabama kthxbi.
i have yet to see a movie or tv show set in new orleans that doesn't leave me screaming about one thing or another. 80% of the time it's the accent, but the glaring errors that could have been avoided by literally FIVE MINUTES worth of research really are the most aggravating.
If it makes you feel better, they rarely get DC or Philly right either . . . people are always driving over the 14th Street bridge past the Jefferson memorial into Virginia . . . to get downtown.
I thought of you with the Moonlight stuff. Someone described it as the kind of show that used to be on USA in the early nineties, and when I think of it in that context, I enjoy it. ;)
I am sooooooo tired of Sam & Andy. Two weeks ago (I haven't watched yesterday's yet) the episode did shed a little more reason on why all of his friends know except her (Satan is pissed that Sock and whatshisname are in on it), but it's the same thing every week. Andy wants to hang with Sam. Sam makes lame excuse. Sam sulks. Andy inexplicably doesn't punch him.
I wish they would do more with Balthazar Getty on B & S. Is it bad that I'm not sorry that his wife has basically left the show?
I'm all for him sleeping with the office manager. Think about it--the character probably hasn't had either sex or affection in months. So, even though his wife just physically left, she's been emotionally gone for a long time. Human beings are basically animals with a guilt complex. We all need sex. ;)
I know it's mean of me to hate Julia, but I think she's less sympathetic than she should be, given the situation. It also doesn't help that the actress is bad.
And speaking of sex, Sam needs to get laid. The end.
I loved that storyline also! And I can't say I didn't squeal at Henry & Betty . . .
Pushing Daisies is cute, but I think it's going to become a broken record. The lead actor is very appealing, though. Is it bad that I hope he touches Chuck again and she dies, because all of the "lets touch without touching while making googly-eyes" is making me want to yak, especially when Anna Friel makes the moony face . . .
Desperate Housewives: I agree about Edie's character being out of character. Brothers and Sisters: Though I love this show (because I'm a Walker) I find the whole angst/freakout first about Justin going to Iraq and then he's immediately injured a bit too much. That storyline does such a disservice to those who go with strength and do what they have to do and come back safe - like my son. Whatever. Dirty Sexy Money: Cracks me UP! Ugly Betty: Don'tcha just want to hug Betty every episode? Pushing Daisies: I tried. I really did, but it reminds me too much of that Lemony Snicket movie but not as good, and I didn't like it at all. Grey's Anatomy: Exactly. Moonlight: This show is moving too fast. They've taken a relationship that could have developed slowly and rushed her right into him. She's practically frothing at the mouth. And the savior/child thing could have take a least the season to figure out. Heroes: They better start moving this forward. The only interesting thing was this weeks chunk about Hiro and Kensei.

Isn't this Justin's second tour? I know it's unrealistic to have him injured so quickly, but that was the method the writers used to get him back into daily interaction with the family.

I dig the "I can replicate anything I see" power though, and I like the actress.

Also, I mnetioned this at the party, but the Saran Wrap thing is a crazy dangerous fetish in most circles. Are the Censors that dumb?
