And so ends the saga of Emily Gibbs. When I started writing this I had no idea that it would snowball as it has, but it has been a blast to write. The characters have surprised me at every turn. I could probably write a few dozen more stories, but I think here is a good place to stop to wrap everything up in some nice purple (for Emily) paper and put a big black (for Abby) bow on the top of it

I write for the same reason I breathe. If I didn't didn't, I would die. Lot of truth to it. I stopped writing for about a year after some issues. Mainly the fact that the man who encouraged and sometimes even forced my writing was abusive. I love him, but it caused pain. Didn't want any of that. I finally started again last week. No theology yet, but I'm working on a couple pieces of CSI NY & Miami FF. I'm hoping that NCIS will be next. It feels so good to write.
Oh, what a beautiful dress! I love the lace on it, the bow, the flow. It's just gorgeous.
I forgot to tell you, I loved the redhead part. I love the idea that Em got that, and even though Gibbs didn't spend his life with a redhead, he will still have redheaded grandchildren. Cute little detail.
I have to admit that I showed this to my mom as the dress I want, should I ever get married. Exp, I want bell sleeves.
The redhead part is honestly District related. Nancy is a redhead and, in my new story/series, Phil feels a connection to this boy he finds at a crime scene. It just works perfectly for NCIS, too. Actually, I was thinking of the Brander storyline when I got the idea of doing a crossover because of the redhead angle.
Oh, hun! I just adore this story! It's absolutely my favorite so far. You did an incredible job with it. Moving slowly backwards, but it all flowed perfectly, the love, the family. I love that Em's husband's family is special, just as hers it. It's beautiful. All the way back to Gibbs coming out of his memories and Abby's final comment. Excellent job.
oh i have cried the whole way through this last part. i have absolutely loved the whole series, i love Abby and Gibbs, and this has been an incredible journey, with everything slotting together so well. i am so sorry tht it is over, but would love to read your next piece. and i am just touched beyond all measure that i'm one of the dedicatee's, if that is the right word! thank you so much!
*hands hanky* Thank you so much, my dear. I'm sorry for the tears, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad that I was able to wrap everything up with this. Feel free to friend this LJ, it is strictly fic and then you should be able to read anything I write in the future. And, of course, you were a dedicatee... you were a huge support! *hugs*

Cool. I'm not familiar with District, I've got too many fandoms as is, but it worked really well.

You wrote an amazing story, which must have been an incredible amount of work, but it turned out so, so well.
I cannot say enough good things about this piece.
