Title: The Smell of Chocolate

Summary: It seemed like such a good idea at the time.

It seemed like such a good idea at the time. A good activity they could all enjoy and a good way for Charlie to spend some time with Alania; now that he didn’t seem mortally afraid of her.
They had gathered all the ingredients, special things for special people.
* Strawberries for Megan.
* Pineapple for Larry
* Cherries for Colby
* Marshmallows for Charlie
* Pretzels for Alan
* Nuts for Don
* Caramel for Coop
* Butter Cream for Melinda
Everything covered in creamy, dark chocolate.
All Charlie, Larry and Alania had to do was melt the “Melt & Mold” Chocolate in the microwave then dip the centers, place them on wax paper and in the refrigerator to chill and firm. Unfortunately, as brilliant as Larry and Charlie were, the added distraction of a sugar highed two-year-old was a little too much. It was so easy for Larry to push the zero button one too many time. Thus the chocolate microwaved for three minutes, not thirty seconds.
Who knew chocolate could burn that bad? Who knew chocolate could smell that bad?
Three days later, Megan would still giggle when the smell of burnt chocolate lingered in the kitchen.
