Between one step and the next, like the shifting of waters--the ocean momentarily overtaking the beach with the strength of the tides--the one who is me is overflowed from human matters and drifts to feline matters.

( I flick my tail out behind me, not faltering in my stride )

I don't think a photo can ever do someone justice. Nothing 2D can ever really catch how that person or creature looks, just like how a simple name can't ever catch all that a person or creature is.

( I try to find the language of their body so I can mimic more then just the way they look or the way they talk. )

My post from a thread about Pre-Awareness of Therianthropy during Childhood, that sort of turned into a short history lesson on myself. It's not as pretty or written as well as my other posts on here, but enjoy anyway.

( I even remember thinking to myself how strange it was to be something undefined one day and purely and completely defined the next. )

While I am purely just 'me' at all times, sometimes it's easier to see where the part of me that is cat ends and where the purely human part begins.

This would be one of those times...

( Thoughts are more instinctual-based, with images and feelings instead of human words and the (completely overdone, claims the cat part,) highly pondered-out and studied way human thoughts can be. )

This is another story that happened during the summer at the camp I work at, I'm surprised I never wrote it down.

( It takes them six people to uproot me from my spot on the floating dock )

Ears alert and eyes wide, I watch the small black ball of soft fur as his green eyes stare at me from below on the stairs.

( If he were a human child, he would wrinkle his nose up and pout at me, instead he twitches his ears irately and pulls his whiskers back slightly. )
