We've had a lot of the "ick" in this house, and I've finally given up.  It seems that the moment I start to feel better, Chris gets sick.  Then he gets better, and I get sick again.  The bed comforters have been sent to the cleaners, sheets and towels have been washed, the bathroom has been bleached every day, and toothbrushes thrown away.  I haven ( Read more... )

So I have been doing some knitting since I've been back from Germany.  The weather here has been crazy.  Freezing cold one day, then snow the next, rain the next day, and then back to freezing.  I realized as a knitter, I live the ultimate paradox.

 I have finished another Fat Bottom Bag this week!  This is a gift to our vet.  At one of Miss Tea's long appointments, I was crocheting the first bag which was a gift for my sister.  She commented on how cool it looked and how fantastic the colors were.  She said, "I wouldn't mind having a bag like that for myself."

I never thought I'd finish this sweater!  French Knots 2 asked me to teach  top-down sweater class for this "semester."  They gave me a pattern and the yarn, neither of which were selling well.  The hopes were that both sales would pick up when customers saw the finished product (for some really dumb reason, there's no picture with the pattern).  ( Read more... )
