If you are on a micro-fiction kick, you might enjoy Robert Olen Butler's Severance collection. Each story is 240 words because each story is told from the POV of someone who's just been beheaded and it's estimated that the brain can still function for, oh, a minute or so after decapitation, and Bob guessed that was about 240 words if someone was really really agitated, and what's more agitating than being decapitated?

Anyway, it's cool stuff.

Oh wow, I love that conceit - reminds me of the Spoon River Anthology, which my friend has been recommending to me for ages (I haven't actually read any of it yet, but the premise sounds kind of similar).

I like micro-fiction. At the moment I'm trying to write short stories (not micro-fiction short, but a step down from NaNo at least).

Chris Rock is brilliant...until he starts talking about women. I totally agree. Some of his bits are extremely good, but I *can't* watch a full show and I can't like the guy, because of the misogynist material. Misogynist old material.
