Many, many thoughts at 200 km/h

Why there's no D/D wedding!baby!fics with the complete necessary? I mean; the Rose talk, the River problem (which poses a real problem when Donna becomes a Time Lady or somehow gets her forever#), the Noble family's approval and Martha's approval (though those two are done all the time) and, obviously, one of Jack's sex joke. Plus, the kid(s) ( Read more... )

In my fics I always think of the children downloading info from the TARDIS in a way like the Perfect Being did in "The Fifth Element"; and it solves the whole school problem [how many days would you allow them to spend in an Earth school? it is a dilemma]. But getting the family dynamic right and the sci fi stuff intact is beyond my capabilities!! I hope to one day...
And who are those women you mention at the top? Never heard of them! Mainly because I'm keeping my fingers in my ears, I totally dismiss Rose as the love of his life [give me a break!!!], and even Moff hasn't decided exactly who River is yet! ;D

Oo, like 5th Element reference...kind of like what i was thinking, but even more specific. One of the things that's great about this is that it's already canon that the Doctor can read a book in 5s flat.

YES! Oh you smart woman! I was wondering if somebody would get the reference. And one day, you're gonna make J.K. Rowling cry cuz you're awesome and you're getting awesomer! I started reading your fics was before I made this account, you know, and I read them all. Keep writing, cuz your stuff is love~ <3

Well, in my head, Rose got Nine out of his gloom, not Ten. So, she was Nine's love. Yeah. And luinel_anduril just convinced me she's the Doc and Donna's daughter. Yeah, that happens a lot, a single suggestion and I got 521723t5796 ideas for it. Do you think I should post my list of plotbunnies on the comm? (Well. Since I don't write.)

Merci beaucoup mon amie! Vous me faites rougir!! Mon français est faible, mais je suis puissant! Ha ha ha... Not really. But how sweet of you to say such things about my fics. You are definitely my friend now!! ;D

I can't see any harm in you posting up a list of plotbunny fic requests, since you would be fuelling some writers imaginations! Ask one of the mods if you are not sure. Why don't you provide some artwork to go with your plotbunnies? I personally would appreciate some illustrations to promote Doctor/Donna love!!

the Rose talk

Based on fic I've read I think I'm weird in that I don't think they need to really talk about that? Donna is smart, she knows he has many ex-girlfriends. And if you're getting into Rose then why not every other woman? It would be weird.

the River problem

It's totally possible for the Doctor to spend Donna's entire life with her and then still have time to go off with River.

(Sorry for the french words, I'm just too lazy to look up in a dictionnary. Okay, I'm so gonna butch my english right now)

I know Donna is smart, but I guess you're partly right, cuz it's obviously up to the authors to stick with the image/interpretation they have of her. For my part, I think it's inévitable considering Donna had low self-esteem and probably a bad track record with men, she would likely feel insecure time to time and hear a nasty, nagging voice in the back of head that feeds those insecurities. Anyway, when you're in relationship you always end up talking about exes, you can't dodge that forever. Believe me, I tried.

And for the River thing, I was talking about the forever-fics. I know that if Donna becomes a Time Lady, she could be killed before she regenerates so then no more River problem. But once I read a fic where Donna would never die as long the Doc lives. I think it was a bit of bad move on this point (because CAL was mentioned and so that means the Library happened) but it was a helluva fic. :3

I have thought of all these questions, and really want to write a fic dealing with them (have even started said series, but have a hump that i need to get over and am using school as an excuse). But i agree that fics with Ten/Rose sending timetots to public school are completely unrealistic (on multiple levels ( ... )

Before starting answering your comment properly, let me tell you this; Confluence of Fate. You. Killed. Me with that one. The end freaking sent me goosebumps up my arms! Seriously, helluva fic you wrote there. Adored it and still do. (Oh god, am I being a fangirl of... fangirls ( ... )

Why are you sorry? Aside from S4, I don't even know her! xP Just by curiosity, are you gonna write a fic about that one day? Cuz you just convinced she might be his daughter.

I think there are lots of fics with elements of this, but not all in the one. I've done the Rose talk in one fic, the smarter than average children in another, and also a married with an Adipose and kids on the way. The regeneration thing may or may not be coming. I just don't put it all together in one fic becasue it didn't work like that.

As for the running stuff, most authors are better at either action or character development. Heuce they tend to write the latter over the former. Personally, it's one thing that RTD-haters never seem able to acknowledge - that he had the ability to do both in quite a balanced and refreshing way.

Je sais, je sais, I read all your fics and drabbles! Each of 'em was a flippin' treat. <3 <3 <3 You got it so right in the character devloppement, I was spazzing while reading a couple of your stories.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for the day that somebody will pull those things off in one freakishly amazing fic or serie. Then, I can die happy~

(Um, I'm not- I'm not a Rusty hater. I'm just sulking at him right now... OTL;;;)

Aw, thanks! So glad you enjoyed them! But action is not really my strength. Character development is the sandpit in which I like to play.

Oh, and I didn't mean you were a Rusty hater! It was more of a general comment directed at those who rant against him...

Valid as these points are, I don't think they NEED to be fixed in order for fic to be good. I mean, this is why it's called "fan FICTION".
I've read quite a few where I'm like "HA! Yeah, right... But just for the sake of the story, I'll pretend." And once you can do that, things usually turn out alright, and life is good.

I konw, I know, there's a lot of fics that I love and not all of em are fixed. And I know that's why it's called "fan Fiction"! *pouts indignantly* I only wanted to share my observations with my fellow d/d shippers. *just simply pouts*
