Poll Time!

Hello Kiddies,

There isn't much to report so here's a nifty poll! It looks like it's time to replace both the phone and the computer, so we are quizzing the brain trust on their expertise and opinions with some whimsical folly thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!

Samsung Galaxy is awesome. Alienware if you can afford it is first rate Dell XPS almost as good.
I love thinkpads but that is me...but for anyone else Dells are good.

Samsung Galaxy looks like a good candidate. I have to see if Verizon carries it. The biggest thing for me is going to be getting used to a touch screen. I'm gonna miss my keyboard. I will probably go with another Dell, but Helen's Vaio is REAL nice.

I've heard good things about the Samsung Galaxy, too. But it really is a personal choice. Go to the store, pick up the phones, play around with them. Maybe just go in with a few in mind that get good reviews so you can stay away from the junk.

And yes, Alienware really makes top of the line stuff. I used to build my own, but since I stopped, I use Puget Systems to custom make ones for me. However, for the way I use them, it makes sense. Not so sure you need one of those for how you tend to use the computer, but they do have lower end models you might want to look at. All of their stuff is of excellent quality:

I don't have a "smartphone" for various reasons. I'm happy with a phone that texts and I can actually call people on. Also I don't have much luck with touchscreens.

As far as a computer goes, see what you use a computer for ie gaming, video work, music,or porn and then build the computer around what you want to do with it. Stina and I have basic HP but we have picked out video cards and different monitors than what came with the system.

Addons for the web browsers are good. I have various adblockers and youtube video download ones.

Also check autocorrect.com. Having that feature is embarrassing for you, but funny as fuck for everyone else.

My computers are all Macs. They rock, IMO.
If you get an iPhone, then I change my favorite chat program vote to Facetime, the program that lets you voice-chat with other iPhone users. Think communication screens from Star Trek...
