This was such a great episode! I loved it from the word go.
I especially loved the bits wherein the TARDIS says that she wanted to see the universe so she stole herself a timelord, the only one reckless enough to do it.
And I loved the sense of seeing what she's lost as we look at the graveyard of her sisters. We get so much of what the Doctor has lost, but if she's sentient, then she lost a lot as well.
I thought the river comment could refer to S4, but then I thought about what a river in the forest does, it nourishes life. So maybe River Song is somehow related to that, to saving the Doctor's life in more than the usual adventure-esque sort of way...
