Originally this was, apparently, 30 Awesome Women of SF - but it got mutated into 30 Awesome Women of TV by some adherents of the meme. Personally, I've opted for 30 Awesome Women Characters - most of them *are* TV (or TV show-related) characters, but a very few are book characters ( Read more... )

They're both leaving - but Bill will be back occasionally as the new Director of Public Prosecutions. Peter Davison's taking over as head of CPS.

I like the summary and agree. The role of Alesha is a solid, well rounded character. The Character works well as part of the Law and Order format, but she has enough substance to stand alone if the producers choose to go that route. Freema portrays Alesha with a nice blend of class, wit, strength. She has proven she has what it takes to carry a episode. She can be vulnerable, but her character inspires support rather than pity. And Alesha and James Steel have that extra something that make them a very sexy pair, in a series that is not really known for promoting romance.

Again marvelous choice.

I was under the assumption that his divorce was final. Most people I've known who were separated/divorced can't wait to 86 the rings

Yeah, but if there's one thing we know for sure about James Steel it's that he's not "most people"!

I like the way that she's slowly but surely gained the respect of the police department and the CPS. I hope she gets to handle more cases in future seasons.
