Here be spoilers, natch.
- Blimey, pregnant!Amy really IS pregnant! O_O That bump's massive!
- Rory has a ponytail? Get outta here! And then he bangs his eye on the plant above the door! Oh, Simon Nye, why must you make Rory into Micky!lite after he was so bloody smart in 'The Eleventh Hour'?
- LOL at Amy balancing the mixing bowl atop her bump!
- Doctor: Are you pregnant? Duh!! How many times has she mentioned it already??
- Doctor: I don't just abandon people when they leave the TARDIS.
Yeah right! You're a lying liar who lies!
- The Doctor called his dream a nightmare, before discovering they'd all had the same dream. Mind you, he does (claim to) hate domesticity.
- I laughed when he checked Amy's stomach for the baby bump and Rory's neck for the ponytail.
- Really, Doctor, kicking the console won't help. And if I was the TARDIS, I'd be miffed about now!!
- Rory has a point about the TARDIS not obviously being real, what with the whole bigger-on-the-inside thing!
- The nursing home is named Sarn - which is one letter removed from Karn - is that significant?
- The Dream Lord's very disdainful about the Doctor's outfit, especially the bowtie.
- Oh and he just called Rory a 'gooseberry'!
- The Dream Lord refers to Leadworth as 'the village that time forgot' - because of the crack in the skin of the universe?
- The Dream Lord tells Amy not to get jealous because the Doctor's been about a bit.
- LOL at both men panicking when they think Amy's about to give birth.
- Rory's dream is to be a doctor, not a nurse - I wonder why he's not training to be a doctor (extra-textual reason's probably because Who did that already with Martha, but what's the in-text reason?)
- Amy wonders why she'd give up life aboard the TARDIS. And Rory looks worried at her remark.
- Rory: We have to grow up sometime.
Amy: Why?
Interesting - in a lot of ways Amy is still wee!Amelia, waiting for the Doctor to come back and rescue her from a life she hates.
- Doctor: I can't know everything!
Since when?
- Doctor: Playtime's really over. *shudders*
- Is the Dream Lord the Celestial Toymaker? Or the Lord of the Land of Fiction?
- The old people have creatures inside them - with eyeballs in their mouths. Urgh!
- Dream Lord: Flophaired wuss (LOL)
- The Doctor asks Rory if they're disagreeing or competing, and Amy seems baffled - does she really not get that they both want her in their life?
- Amy: If we're going to die, let's die looking like a Peruvian folk band.
LOL - although, why?!
- A camper van getaway? That's as bad as driving a Fire Engine to the rescue! Doctor, you NEED Bessie back, your vehicles lack style!
- Eep! The outside shell of the TARDIS has started freezing up... (Although, I confess to wondering why the interior is so cold, considering (in the old days at least) the TARDIS *interior* was always in an entirely different dimension - that's what makes the whole 'bigger-on-the-inside' thing possible!)
- Dream Lord: Poor Amy. He always leaves you, doesn't he, alone in the dark? And he never apologises.
Amy: He doesn't need to.
- Dream Lord: Friends? Is that the word for the people you acquire? Friends stay in touch.
Ouch!
- Rory tells Amy he wants to do something for her - and cuts off his ponytail?! o_O 'kay...
- Amy: Save him. You save everyone. You always do. It's what you do.
Doctor: Not everyone.
Amy (crying): Then what is the point of you?
Double ouch!!
- Amy says that the Leadworth "reality" can be the real one because Rory's not there, and she didn't know, she honestly didn't know until that moment, just how much she wants/loves him.
- Yikes! The TARDIS is seriously frozen inside. You'd think they'd had a blizzard in there!
- Amy wakes up, and takes Rory's hand. Aw...
- Dear gods! The Doctor's going to blow up the TARDIS?! O_O
- Okay, so that makes sense now - the Dream Lord was offering a choice between two dreams, not a dream and reality.
- There was pyschic pollen in the Time Rotor? Okay...
- The Dream Lord was the Doctor's dark side? Huh.
That was interesting, intriguing in places, and quite clever - apart from the over emphasis of Rory's ordinariness compared to the Doctor's extraordinariness. We get that already!
