I've been predicting this for weeks. I told everyone that the moment I stopped work and started my much-needed two-week Xmas break I would be hammered by a vicious lurgi. And so it came to pass.

Feckin' lurgi.

I've taken the day off to go to MCR. Should get there this evening.

Looking forward to this, but oh! I feel so exhausted! Illness and work have left me somewhat wrecked.

At least I seem to be coming out of the back end of this lurgi...

Finally, progress on getting better. At least the throat infection appears to have subsided a little. My throat was so bad that I was in pain whenever I blew my nose.

I'm not watching Survivors tonight. Too close to home, and it scared the bejeesus out of me as a kid.

Tell me: are these lurgi diseases becoming more virulent and persistent, or am I simply getting so old that it takes weeks for me to throw them off?

When you have a filthy cold, there's nothing like an extra spicy batch of Japanese curry--S&B Black, no less--to clear the tubes.

Oh, Lord. I feel ill.

I was planning to co to the Comic Friends meet in Victoria today, but I don't think I have the wherewithal to make it. I would be miserable and uncomfortable and no company at all.

Bugger. I have been looking forward to this for weeks, as well!

A new hospital, a new doctor. I drove over to Stratford-upon-Avon this morning to be poked up the Aris by my new consultant. This one seems to be less gung-ho about surgery. Just keep going until something needs to be done is his philosophy ( Read more... )

Looks like Moto's fever has broken. She has no energy but is hopefully on the mend.

Poor Motoko has been very ill this past week. She picked up a bug soon after visiting the clinic for Kei's immunization. Since then she's been running a fever and hasn't been able to shake it off. I took today off work to basically wheel Kei around the park so she could get a rest. She seems a little more energetic, but I hope she can sweat this ( Read more... )
