Games I played this week:

CoD5: World at War. Is it me, or are the multiplayer levels too large? They feel flabby compared to the small, action-heavy CoD4 levels. I'm not 100% happy with some of the single-player maps for that matter and I was cursing my way through the hard-as-nails Pelieu Island level. The Swedes did a very sweet thing yesterday. They were keen to see my new game, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, which has just arrived in the shops. I was slightly put out that QA had nabbed the company copies of the game and were going to get to play it before me. I mean, I was only the chief bloody designer on the thing.

This is genius. A new Team Fortress 2 deathmatch mode in which one team play guys with flamethrowers and the other team is disguised as props, such as water coolers and suchlike, and must hide in the level and avoid being killed.

It was an enjoyable Fat Club meeting on Saturday, as Mike Siggins, Charles Vasey, John Carroll and I sat down for a game of Leader 1.
