Puss' kidneys started going downhill in June, and after a spending three days at the vet on an IV drip, she seemed to be recovering. Gained weight back, etc. We learned, however, that she really only had one kidney, the other one being atrophied to the point of dysfunction. Genetic? Dunno. *bighugs* I was away at school when my parents put our dog, Sparky to sleep... they didn't even tell me for three days! I don't know which would have been better, me knowing about it or not, but it was rough... I can't even imagine what it will eventually be like for my current puppeh, Cocoa...
