We put Harriet down today.  It was definitely her time to go- her back legs weren't working anymore, and she couldn't get up to drink water or use her litter box.  She stopped eating the day before yesterday.

Got an IUD inserted today.  It was brief, but it hurt.  And it still hurts, which makes everything else suckier.

Puss' kidneys started going downhill in June, and after a spending three days at the vet on an IV drip, she seemed to be recovering. Gained weight back, etc. We learned, however, that she really only had one kidney, the other one being atrophied to the point of dysfunction. Genetic? Dunno.
