new vid - Ashes to Ashes - "As I Come Clean"

Aug 24, 2010 18:34

A few weeks ago, I wasted money on a new shiny processor, but my comp still can't handle the extended version of my vidding program. So it's back to basics and outsmarting Pinnacle in an ongoing bloody virtual fist fight. I guess I'm lucky enough to be able to use avi files now and to cut their scenes without my screen freezing all the time. That ( Read more... )

I've never seen this series and don't know what it is about. Therefore I can't tell you if the video reflects the storyline well, but I liked the "feeling" of it. And some technical details, like the close-ups in between. That works quite good.

Thanks for watching, even though you had never seen the series, I appreciate it. Glad you liked the feeling of it, that's all that counts in the end I guess.

I have to watch a video made by Pennyfeline! It kinda brings the BSG times back...

This was the first musicvid by your hand that I saw before I saw the series or even was acquainted with the actors. It is a different experience. It has to be, as the layer that triggers recollections and atmospheres is missing - while musicvidding is an art form that (in part) uses hops from memory to memory to tickle the heart ( ... )

*huggles you*

Thank you, hon. Your comment landed in my mailbox when I really needed to hear something nice. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for the lovely and detailed review and for spoiling yourself. I do feel sorry for the latter and really hope you will enjoy the show nonetheless. :o

It's interesting to hear how you perceived the vid as someone who had no idea about the actual show. Maybe it worked so well, because I had not much of an idea either when making it? *g*

*skooshes you*

I don't know that I am spoiled. For all I know this may be just as an accurate an depiction of A2A as your vid "Teacher's pet" was of the goings on in BSG.

Maybe it worked so well, because I had not much of an idea either when making it?
*tsks you*
Nah. Unlikely scenario.
Talent, me thinks. Just talent.

Hope things will look up for you soon.

Thanks for sharing the vid, I enjoyed it alot!

I absolutely adore LOM (A2A a little less so), and Gene Hunt has to be one of the greatest TV characters of all time. I'm really gonna miss not having any more new eps of this show. The vid captured the bittersweetness of the ending of A2A. Nicely done with Gene and Alex. (I don't ship them either).

Thank you for the comment. It's good to see you around again, btw. Hope things are okay with you.

Philip Glenister's portrayal of Gene Hunt is simply brilliant, isn't it? Interesting that you like LoM better than A2A, btw. You're the first person to say that. Personally, I'm torn as I liked the focus on the secondary characters in A2A but thought the overall storytelling of LoM worked better.

Most people like A2A better than LOM? Really...? That's not been my impression ( ... )
