no clue what to title this

I felt like I should probably post something. This something should obviously be Reborn-- it's become a significantly lower priority, but this is less because I have lost interest and more because it used to be like EVERYTHING I THOUGHT ABOUT and now that is probably Fire Emblem or Whistle!.

cut for rant )

Haha, I know what you mean. I only just got caught up on Reborn today (yay for manga marathon Saturdays and hours spend watching off brand Yugiou) because I was kind of bored with the way it was going (and I'd rather live in my Haru/Kyoko centric alternate continuities ( ... )

Oh, I don't think the arc was all that drawn out, actually. A lot of parts of it were completely rushed, I think-- it's just THIS FIGHT that's taking forever. (Ryohei didn't technically lose, he tied-- believe me, if he'd lost and then no one else had, I would have FLIPPED THE GODSFORSAKEN INTERNET ON ITS HEAD with SHEER RAGE.) I wanted so many Shimon to win their battles and then they DIDN'T and I am still so unhappy about it ( ... )

Ah, yeah, that's about right then (Haha, oops, he tied, you're right. I blame lack of sleep?) the Shimon aren't the main characters, so, in unfair shounen manga tradition, they will never win against the regular cast unless a comeback can be made ( ... )

Come on, just a couple of them should have gotten successful hits in, though. Bel won his fight like a proper prince, why can't Shitt P? (And maybe Gokudera just loses so much because he goes up against all the cool people.)

It's just that the entire Japanese mindset is based on rules and regulations; Americans interpret one thing as freedom is liberating, and the Japanese can see the same thing as chaos is terrifying. There's an order to everything, including relationships. P-personally I find it really fascinating even though I would be the shittiest Japanese girlfriend ever hahahahahaha. I think it's somewhere in between-- the girl he assumed she was, that's his convenient fantasy. But he did get to know her a little-- maybe not recently, but in the Daily Life Arc and a few scenes in the Future Arc-- and, at least from my perspective, he still looked pretty smitten. I don't know if I can throw love around much, admittedly. (I honestly think Kyohei would be girlier-- he'd just be girlier for anyone but Tsuna and then with Tsuna he' ( ... )

If I didn't suck you would have the rival reporters fic! I'm sorry that I suck.

At this point I really just want her to get impatient and show up in canon just to stop being too nice to completely emasculate him.
Such a beautiful dream. Oh, Haru and Kyoko (and I-Pin ... and Hana, and Bianchi...), if only you were allowed to matter.

No, don't apologize, my own suckage is equally to blame!

Such a beautiful, impossible dream. Much like my dream of Hana and Ryohei having entire chapters of interaction.

IF ONLY but damn I would settle for a couple of panels at this point. Just hints. Come on. But for that they'd both have to be in the manga. :| PS, agreed with your indignation on Ryohei being the only Vongola to get canned. It's annoying. KHR often took the easy way out in previous arcs, but these days it seems like that's what it does all the time.

I was so into the idea of Hibari and Gokudera losing their battles, and then they didn't. AND THEN TSUNA TOOK OVER THE FUCKING MIST BATTLE AGAIN DO THE WRITERS DO THIS ON PURPO I love the Shimon family, but their arc so far? Not so much.

It's especially sad about Hana and Ryohei though because it's so obvious that their chemistry would be AWESOME.
