Does it help to know that, in a few days, the sun will start returning?

Yeah. I've been thinking about the Solstice coming up, and hoping that getting beyond it would help.

That marigold one is very powerful and frightening, and rather Sisyphean as well.

And the glass sculpture images do look like cellular structures. I will say, though, that the first thing I thought of when I scrolled to them was "Antibodies!"

I am so sorry you guys are having to deal with yet more of this. A path forward is a very good thing, but I suspect you'd prefer it in a different kind of park.

Antibodies are a good thought! That hadn't even occurred to me (possibly because of my depressive mindset). It's certainly a more positive way to think about it, especially since Rob is about to start an immunatherapy trial.

That may have influenced my reaction, since I read the Caringbridge entry first; but I also recently read a random article about immunotherapy, with images, and the glass sculptures are not unlike. They may have been intended to look both ways at once; cells is cells, as it were.

I don't know if you're familiar with the designer (). I saw an exhibition of his art when I was in Montreal. Some of it is beautiful. Some of it, such as those chandeliers, I find disturbing and downright frightening. Which seems apt to your card.
