30 min break from 9hrs driving at a lovely rest stop near Van, WA. Free coffee & cookies! Saw a cute bunny rabbit.

Went for a run this morning: a little over 3 miles in 37:15. Lots of ag equipment on the road this morning - it's harvest season. Almost got run over by some idiot passing said ag equipment. Grrr! Maybe I should find a different route for the next couple of months.

Lots to do today:

• pack
• mow lawns
• wash the car
• teaching piano students
• church gig

Planning a trip on Labor Day weekend. If you were me and were contemplating a 19 hour train ride versus an 11 + hour car ride, which would you choose?

The train leaves at the ungodly hour of 2 am and gets me to my destination at 8:45pm the same day. The return trip is from 9:45am to 3:50am the next day. Ugh.

A low key  morning this morning. Time for breakfast and internet.

This afternoon we attended the Colorado Scottish Festival. There were pipe bands playing all afternoon. Listening to the pipe band playing at the midday ceremony was amazing!

1. pick out/launder/iron performance attire for Friday afternoon school concert
2. pick out/launder/iron performance attire for Saturday morning choir festival
3. pack change of clothes for Six Flags craziness
4. grab some food for lunch and breakfast the next couple of days
5. squeeze in practice time for choir music and music for church Sunday
