A low key morning this morning. Time for breakfast and internet.
This afternoon we attended the Colorado Scottish Festival. There were pipe bands playing all afternoon. Listening to the pipe band playing at the midday ceremony was amazing!
Pipe band video Then there was sword fighting. They set up a mock altercation over a cow. According to my sister the historian, this happened all the time and was a common start to clan wars. This afternoon's "clan war" was very commical! At one point, one the clansmen is "run through" and his wife comes screaming and attacking her husband's murderer, then she herself is shot! Someone standing near me yelled out, "That's bloody cheatin'!!"
Sword fight - "An Altercation over a Cow" There was dancing (
dancing video).
And haggis!!

A late lunch/early dinner at Jason's Deli. I had a California Club sandwich - turkey, bacon, and avocado - yum! And Jason's serves free ice cream so I had a chocolate ice cream cone for second desert. My first was a chocolate chip cookie.
Now we are chilling in the room, listening to the thunder from the rain storm outside, and visiting with my aunt and uncle from Texas who are staying in the same hotel.
Tomorrow: The Colorado Railroad Museum, shopping in Manatou Springs, and dinner with my Denver aunt and uncle.
