You could make a series of platforms in the aviary for him to sit on. Our GCC has foot problems and I'm working on designing a tabletop play gym for him that's a series of platforms with toy hooks in it.

ive had budgies similar to ones in your pic! they learn to get along SO well! mine to used to sit on my finger with one leg down and one out. sooooooooo cute he was awesome. this one has a foot that is kinda curled up and doesnt grip at all.

one foot does. i think hes just going to have to learn to develop those muscles.

Like the others said, look into platforms. My quaker has one leg and does well with platforms and perches wrapped with vet tape for grippy-ness. Look for things used for chinchillas. That is usually where I found mine.

Guinea pigs dont usually climb like chins do, but Im sure that you can find platforms and stuff online. =)

Have you taken him to the vet yet? There's an outside chance it's something fixable though I doubt it, but I'd be more worried that it's something that could lead to death if not treated.

I agree that platforms and ramps are the way to go.

I agree with ramps and platforms, though if I were in your situation I'd probably take him out of the aviary and have him be a coddled little guy in a cage. I'd be worried about him being picked on since he couldn't get away from the others if he needed to. I'd also have him checked out at a vet if you haven't done so.

i dont even know of any avian vets even remotely near me, apparently they are very rare around here... im still looking!!

ive had budgies with disabilities before, living in a full avery of 30+ budgies and never had problems... i think they just learnt to harden up! one in particular lived to over 10years old with the others... i guess it all depends of the dynamics of the flock...
