Thanks to the generosity of valmora, I have a nice peach pie in the oven as we speak. It should be done baking in just enough time for me to take it out to cool while I run (or rather, seeing as how it's ninety-three degrees outside, mosey) down to campus to see my advisor. Then, back home for salad and peach pie! Mmmmm.

Yay pie! I am happy to hear that you are happy, and I hope the meeting with your advisor will have gone well when you see this message. =D

The meeting went famously. He was properly impressed at my airplane story, and he had some good advice about the syllabus. A few things have been jiggered to make room for two listening quizzes, but he approves of the way I've thought it out so far.

Mmm, peach pie!
I like it much better than apricot pie, though for some reason life tends to bring me more apricots than peaches.

I don't think I've ever had apricot pie. I'll have to try that sometime, if life ends up giving me apricots.

It's tasty, though not as tasty as apricot dumplings. Ever tried Czech fruit dumplings? Looks like this:

Though I admit I like the plum version best. And strawberry, too. Also, those on the picture are with cinnamon, which is not so popular - cottage cheese and cream is better.

I think I might have tried to make a Polish version of that many years ago. Alas that this page is all in Czech!
