Facebook is turning into the new myspace. Let's be friends on there anyways, cause it's the thing to do.

It might be worse than MySpace in that respects. I'm not on MySpace, so I don't know for sure. But, I get friend requests all the time on Facebook from people I've never met or who I met just once in passing. The first type, I don't add back. I just add people that I've talked with at least and figure are pretty cool. I like that I can do a limited profile for some people, so I can hide things from people I don't know very well.

I think it's really telling of my state of mind that I don't actually find most of those funny. They just make me feel stressed out and like crap.

I know the feeling. For awhile, I couldn't read Dilbert or PhD Comics because it was too close to home and no longer funny. I still don't read those comics on a regular basis.

Wait...I'm not a grad student, and I identify with a majority of those! (Damn academic medicine job.)

I'd expect many people in highly-stressful jobs or any academic-related job to identify with a number of these.
