On Trial, thief, PG regalish July 18 2010, 21:22:50 UTC
Sheldon is shocked when he sees her with them. Downright shocked. If his mouth hadn't been full of pizza at the time, it would have dropped indignantly. And she either doesn't notice his hard stare or chooses to ignore it, instead rolling her eyes at Wolowitz for his latest lewd comment.

He stews over her brazenness for what feels like hours; he can feel his face twitching, and his hand shakes as it holds his half-eaten slice. How dare she waltz in here flouting her blatant pilfering of his belongings!

Finally, when he can no longer stand it, he sets down his slice and his plate on the coffee table and jumps to his feet, pointing accusingly as he shouts, "You're a thief!Penny's green eyes widen at him for a moment in her typical 'Sheldon is nuts' look, before she smirks. "Whaaat? Honey, what are you talking about ( ... )

AHHH, loved this!! :D So very cute and very them, especially Sheldon's smug little 'court is adjourned' at the end. Such an adorable image, Penny sitting all curled up in Sheldon's Superman socks! :D

Thanks so much for sharing this, bb! <3

Heee, thanks so much!! I just loved the idea that Penny would steal Sheldon's socks (because, in my mind, they would remind her of him, hehe)!

“No.”

“Why not?”

“I don’t like them.”

“Why not?!”

“They’re uncomfortable.”

“You haven’t even tried them on yet!”

“I can see perfectly well that they will be extraordinarily uncomfortable.”

“How can you possibly tell?”

“How can you possibly tell that ‘that skirt will make you look fat’? Surely if we follow your preferred system of trial and error you would need to try on every single skirt in the store before you would know for certain whether or not they would make you look robust, or obese, or emaciated.”

“…Honey, what about these ones?”

“Penny, I thought I had made my feelings on Velcro perfectly clear. If I can barely distinguish it as a revolutionary scientific discovery as it is so often lauded as, you can hardly expect me to put it on my feet every day ( ... )

"And lights on shoes are both impractical and dangerous; it would make it only that much easier for an arch-enemy or a pack of hungry dogs or the FBI to track you in the dark if every step you take illuminates your feet like a neon ‘kick me’ sign.”

Ahahahaha! That was so perfectly Sheldon. I loved this -- just the idea of Penny and Sheldon shopping together (especially after her reaction to that dark suit of his!) is aces.

Well done, my dear! ♥

Hee, thanks hon! :D I think S/P shopping together is one of my favourite things in the history of the world ever :D

(I wrote another drabble on the prompt 'points of data make a beautiful line', but it's hideously over the character limit. Le sigh. I'll post it at sheldon_penny later on :P)

(I wrote another drabble on the prompt 'points of data make a beautiful line', but it's hideously over the character limit. Le sigh. I'll post it at sheldon_penny later on :P) Well that's not really against the rules, even though I typically encourage everyone to keep it in one comment. If it goes over, great! You can still always post as much as will fit (or maybe a small 'teaser' portion) and then link us to the rest! :)

D'awwww! I do so love when Penny gets protective of Sheldon. (Hate when the writers classify it as a 'mommy-son' thing, of course, but anyway-) That trick was so cruel and perfectly befitting of the guys, poor Moonpie.

And I could totally hear his soft and sincere, "Thank you, Penny." Heee!

Another great job!

Penny wasn’t sure what she was doing, really. Where was this coming from? She had invited Sheldon over for a simple spaghetti dinner (with the sauce just like his mother’s, and hot dogs cut up into small pieces). However, her apartment looked very different from how it usually looked. It was as spotless as she could manage, and the lights were low. There were two candles on the table, with actual, real, cloth napkins, not just paper towels. Even though she had to ‘borrow’ them from work, it was the thought that counted, right?

She smoothed her dress down in the front, nervously. She wasn’t quite sure when her feelings for Sheldon shifted, but they had, and she wasn’t going to let it eat away at her in silence anymore. This was going to be out there, end of story! And Sheldon had no idea what he was getting himself into by coming to dinner tonight.

Knock knock knock. “Penny!”
Knock knock knock. “Penny!”
Knock knock knock. “Penny!”

But he was going to find out.

Aww, I loved this! And I particularly loved this line: And Sheldon had no idea what he was getting himself into by coming to dinner tonight.

Hehehe! So very Penny.

Great job!

Fireworks and Freckles, points of data make a beautiful line, PG-13 always_a_boom July 18 2010, 23:18:09 UTC
A family with no less than seven children lived across the street. They were very tanned and mostly blonde, and in some ways reminded him of Penny. He sometimes heard the mother call her little boys ‘sweetie’ when they tumbled off their bikes and scraped their knees. The children would play noisy, rowdy games with little to no effective organisation and laughably ill-prepared sets of rules. They laughed with the same wild and free and giddy passion as Penny ( ... )
