[ Of course Uru doesn't notice anyone watching children or the journal. She's too busy trying to make her way through another group of children, mostly from the daycare. They recognize her since she occasionally passes by the place. Minato volunteered there while he was here.

She laughs as one of the kids tugs on her sleeves and demands she come play with them. ]

Alright; for a bit!

[ She has to go home, clean, then start dinner. ]

[ ah. this girl. the midnighter leans back and watches her. he's not surprised that the children seem to know her; she seems like the type.

the kids are playing some sort of marble game. take a marble uru! the nondescript brunet is just going to sit here. ]

[ And she notices that guy sitting and watching. Maybe he's a father to one of them? She sort of... stares back. ]

Deadpool, in complete costume of course, is making his way back to the castle. Though he's not paying attention to anything right now, even the pack of children. No, he's far too busy carving something on the side of a football helmet.

Because Deadpool has priorities and watching where he's going isn't one of them.

The Midnighter doesn't blink at the costume, of course -- although... red spandex, really? -- and pegs him as just another good-for-jack-shit superhero living up at the castle. He would leave him alone, but he sees that one of the kids, who isn't paying any attention to the guy either, is about fifteen seconds away from a collision with him.

He could just call out a warning. But he doesn't. What he does is pick up a small stone and throw it at the guy's back.

The rock surprises him, making him jerk to a stop which makes the knife he was carving with skid across the surface of the helmet, ending up in his hand. Gee, thanks for that. He hisses, dropping everything so he can glare at... Well, glare at everything behind him really. He doesn't know who exactly did that. And he was minding his own business too! That's just not fair.

"Hey! Who threw that?! Didn't your mom ever teach you not to throw stuff at people?"

His heart bleeds for you, Deadpool. It really does. Midnighter just leans back on the bench, not even looking at the guy. He makes sure he speaks loudly enough to be heard, however, when he says:

"Watch where you're going."

Stocking is on her way into town, smoothing out the lapel of her coat as she hums this song under her breath. She remembers it idly as one of those songs Minato was listening to a while back when he was a resident, and she smiles fondly.

Her mind wanders from Minato to what exactly will be her destination today. She does not feel like going to the Beehive - maybe it is time to try something new for once.

Also, she has to make sure she does not trip over these kids. Cute, but messy. She really is not looking to dirty her dress.

Hello, Stocking. The Midnighter recognises her at once, of course, but stays where he is. He has no real aversion to people seeing his face or knowing his 'identity', but he has moods. And there's a time for everything.

One of the children, by the way, is waving her hand; trying to get Stocking's attention. What are you going to do?

Teal eyes acknowledge him for a moment before she focuses on the child who has her attention now. She kneels down and inquires as to what the child nabbed her attention for. (She is also silently hoping her dress doesn't get splashed sob...)

It seems like the child wants to know if Stocking can help her! You see, her marble rolled over by the tall man on the bench, and it's now behind his foot. He doesn't seem to have noticed, and she's a little shy to go over and ask for it herself. Help a girl put?

[Woops, looks like it's time to bother random strangers for Charlie! He's people watching, and ends up... watching Midnighter watch the kids for a little bit. Eventually though, he's curious enough about the journal to pick himself up and wander over]

[He'll just... stand here, conspicuously close, and look over the guy's shoulder, trying to make out a name on the cover...]

[ really? just like that? the midnighter is almost amused. a glance at the man tells him he's human. nothing about him absolutely screams abnormal... but he's not normal, either. that, he knows for sure, more or less.

either way, the journal sadly has nothing to say; it isn't turned the right way up. and the midnighter is going to speak now. ]

Old Spice.
