Deadpool, in complete costume of course, is making his way back to the castle. Though he's not paying attention to anything right now, even the pack of children. No, he's far too busy carving something on the side of a football helmet.
Because Deadpool has priorities and watching where he's going isn't one of them.
The Midnighter doesn't blink at the costume, of course -- although... red spandex, really? -- and pegs him as just another good-for-jack-shit superhero living up at the castle. He would leave him alone, but he sees that one of the kids, who isn't paying any attention to the guy either, is about fifteen seconds away from a collision with him.
He could just call out a warning. But he doesn't. What he does is pick up a small stone and throw it at the guy's back.
The rock surprises him, making him jerk to a stop which makes the knife he was carving with skid across the surface of the helmet, ending up in his hand. Gee, thanks for that. He hisses, dropping everything so he can glare at... Well, glare at everything behind him really. He doesn't know who exactly did that. And he was minding his own business too! That's just not fair.
"Hey! Who threw that?! Didn't your mom ever teach you not to throw stuff at people?"
His heart bleeds for you, Deadpool. It really does. Midnighter just leans back on the bench, not even looking at the guy. He makes sure he speaks loudly enough to be heard, however, when he says:
He hears the voice and, after pulling the knife from his hand, turns to give the guy a piece of his mind. And maybe his fist. But when he sees who exactly it is, his jaw drops. Oh man it's him and they had a magical castle kid together and oh god
Midnighter glances at him, finally, and frowns. He hasn't had too many encounters with people he'd met on his last stay here; he supposes it was only a matter of time.
The Midnighter walks closer... and unless Deadpool makes a break for it, he's going to swiftly sling an arm around his shoulder in a friendly fashion. No violence in front of the kids, et cetera.
"I've got no problem with never speaking to you or seeing your tacky costume again, once you tell me who the fuck you are. Other than some cheesy superhero."
Deadpool was taking a quick look behind to see if the coast was clear and oh damn there he is. He was about to argue that really, he didn't want to know when his words actually hit him.
"Woah, wait a second! Tacky? There is nothing wrong with my costume! It's simple and perfect and classy! I'm not cheesy! I'm not even a damn superhero! I'm not super anything unless you're counting 'super awesome'. And you can just stop this 'rawr I'm a tough guy' thing because it's not gonna work. I've seen scarier ponies than you. Plus I've seen you in your boxers before. No one is scary after you've seen them in their underwear"

"How the fuck is that your business?"

"It's not! Yeah, it's not. So I'll just go now. Forever." Because he really doesn't want to ever explain how they met. Ever. EVER.
Reply
"Or you could start explaining."

He's edging away and if he gets the chance, he's going to bolt. Because Deadpool is a brave man obviously.

"We're coming up on the part where I threaten you in a horrible way. Do you mind skipping it?"

"Oh, that's be great actually. I'd end up laughing too much and you'd get feelings hurt so it's for the best"
