To Hades with his running. It wasn't that the roof was much of an inconvenience, but this would really be so much easier if Meta Knight would just cooperate and let Pit have his payback the way he wanted it.

Of course, he'd seen nothing wrong with the way they treated each other already. Obviously the two of them were much more affectionate to one another than anyone else- which, on any other day, was more than enough for the angel. Ever since his wings had changed, though, so too had his views- and while he'd meant to simply hurt Meta Knight back with his actions, he couldn't shake the feeling that yes, this is what I've wanted all along.

So the goal of all this running around was less about the pain, and more about having him accept- or, Palutena forbid- return those feelings as he'd done before. In the end, he would make his knight understand, one way or another.

The angel walked out onto the roof calmly, sandals crunching against the snow that barely bothered him as he approached the now-less-than-imposing boy shivering ( ... )

Meta Knight glanced bitterly at Pit who seemed--was--completely unfazed by the cold weather. Nova knows why he picked the damn roof to do this, but it had its dramatic effects, his teenage mind supposed.

"Pit, tell me why." His voice gently faded into a serious tone. "Why do you want me to love you back in that way?"

His fingers unconsciously tapped the hilt of his sword. He wanted a peaceful resolution, but if none could be met, then it meant that they had to do what they only knew how to do.

Dark eyes blinked, batting errant snowflakes away.

Why?

Well, it was obvious, wasn't it?

"It would simply make things easier, Sir Meta Knight." replied Pit, calmly.

To be honest, the desire to hurt him had passed- unlike Pit's other 'friends', who could easily be dealt with violently. However... Meta Knight was different. He didn't bother thinking of how it had come to happen or where they currently stood, but Pit loved this person and by the gods he would force the knight's feelings out if he had to. And if Meta was going to be so adamant... well, he was ready for it.

This was going to be harder than he thought. This Pit was so vague and tricky, completely different from the Pit he knew yet still retained his charm.

"To what lengths would you go to have me return those feelings?"

He knew that answer. It was inevitable now that he thought about it. One, or both, had to get hurt to send the message home. He never wanted to draw his sword against Pit, his most beloved friend, but a knight must throw away the emotions holding him back, even if it meant losing something dear forever.

A predatory grin broke across the angel's face, and within a moment the two swords he'd been practicing with so diligently were drawn, flashing reflections of moonlight on the metal as he sank into a combative stance.

"I'm willing to do anything for you, Sir." The tone was the same sweet and honest voice, but here, it just made its meaning that much more twisted...

Silly knight- Pit was confident that he would convince him this way. Pain had proved effective the last time.
